Vicenza Velvet Cushion

This fabric stopped me in my tracks. A deadstock wool and silk velvet from Northern Italy, limited in quantity and woven with incredible care. The kind of textile you don’t see often. Dense, soft, and full of life. The sheen catches the light just enough. It holds colour in a way only velvet can. The pattern feels like watching a Renaissance painting slowly melt.

Each one is piped with cotton cord, then wrapped with our off-cuts in a contrasting colour to create a unique finish. The inserts are made locally, less than 1km from our factory.

Every cushion is sewn in Melbourne by the team at Second Stitch, a not-for-profit that supports women from refugee and asylum-seeker backgrounds.
