Each piece begins with small cones of yarn ends that I can’t use for a full blanket, material that would normally be considered waste. Instead of discarding them, I let these remnants guide me. The machine, the four cones, and my own instinct move together; as each cone empties or is interrupted by my hand, the piece forms itself in a way that can never be repeated.
With often 220 colour changes or more, each end is tied mid-process, the fabric building the way a painting builds: stroke by stroke, yarn by yarn. There is no set order. Colours overlap, drift, and settle into each other, creating depth that exists only in the moment of making.
Hand-finished with a CURIO label embroidered in Australian cotton in Central Victoria, each piece carries a record of my decisions, pauses, and impulses. A throw to live with or admire.
