Quilted Bolster

The CURIO bolster is a carefully crafted piece, wrapped in a finely woven jacquard fabric from the 1980s, a relic of Australia’s once-thriving textile industry. This fabric, originally used in coats by leading brands of the era, has been preserved until now, when it was rediscovered as a true gem. Each bolster is quilted using an unconventional process on a machine typically reserved for mattresses. This unique quilting was made possible after many weeks of experimenting with the machine, developing a secure stitch pattern that locks down the fabric and padding. The result is a limited-edition creation that reflects a deep commitment to thoughtful material design from the yarn level onward.
